- How many residents are you taking in the inaugural class?
- Five. The class size for every PGY year is five, totaling twenty residents at full complement.
- Do you preferentially review signaled applications?
- Yes. Our program preferentially reviews applications from candidates who have signaled us. Applicants who do not signal are still strongly considered.
- How is an inaugural class evaluated?
- By the same standards we will use in 2030. The criteria do not change because the program is new — they are higher because the cohort is small and the relationships are closer.
- Are interviews virtual or in-person?
- Both options are offered. We strongly encourage at least one in-person visit to Phoenix before submitting your rank list.
- Do you sponsor visas?
- Contact the Program Coordinators directly for the current visa policy.
- What about away rotations?
- Information on visiting student rotations is posted to this page when application windows open. Email the coordinators for early-availability questions.
